EMERIT

Emerit is licensed to you under Apple's Standard End User License Agreement, which governs your licence to use the app. This page adds the terms specific to what Emerit does — read both.
Emerit is a reference and estimation tool. It reads the ratings, dates and answers you enter, applies published federal regulations and VA rate tables, and shows you the result together with the rule it came from.
Every figure Emerit produces is an estimate computed from what you entered. If a percentage, an effective date or a dependent is wrong or missing, the figure will be wrong — the app cannot check your entries against the VA, because it has no connection to it.
Emerit's rate tables carry the date they took effect, shown on the settings screen alongside a link to the VA's own published source. Rates change, regulations are amended, and there may be a period after a change before the app is updated. Verify anything you intend to act on against VA.gov or with an accredited representative.
Where Emerit shows a citation, that citation points to the current published text of the regulation. Read it. That is why it is there.
The claim screen shows the step you told Emerit your claim is in, and counts the days since you told it. It does not read your VA record and it is never in contact with the VA. The VA's own app and claim status tool are the authoritative source for where your claim actually is.
Emerit stores your file on your device only. There is no account and no server backup. You are responsible for keeping your own backup using the export function in Settings. If you delete the app, lose the device, or erase your data, we cannot recover it — we never had a copy.
Emerit is free. Since 24 September 2026 every feature is included at no cost, and the app sells nothing.
If you bought Emerit Yearly before then, it is an Apple subscription: cancel it any time in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions so it does not renew. Refunds for earlier purchases are handled by Apple under its own terms; we cannot process a refund on Apple's behalf.
Do not use Emerit to attempt to defraud the VA or misrepresent a claim, and do not reverse-engineer, resell or redistribute the app except as Apple's EULA permits.
Emerit is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including any warranty of accuracy, merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. To the fullest extent permitted by law, PLAYRIOT LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from your use of the app — including any benefit not received, deadline missed, or decision made in reliance on an estimate.
Nothing here limits any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
